THE USA

The Church has its headquarters in Wayne, New Jersey. The Church of Pentecost U.S.A., Inc. is the U.S.A. branch of The Church of Pentecost International which is a worldwide multi-cultural dynamic Christian group with its general headquarters in Accra, Ghana.

It traces its origin to 1937 when the Irish Missionary, Rev. James McKeown, began his ministry in the then Gold Coast (now Ghana). It is a full-gospel, Holy Spirit-filled Church carrying the gospel of Jesus Christ to all parts of the world.

The vision of the Church is to bring the world to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. The Church lays strong emphasis on the Word of God, holiness, prayer and evangelism. It provides leadership and discipleship to the believer to have a loving personal relationship with Jesus Christ and people. It empowers the believer to be spiritually, emotionally and physically stable and matured and to have a deeper meaning to life here on earth and hereafter in heaven as we await the Second Coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

It is our fervent believe that God can use all those who believe in Christ to achieve great things in the Kingdom of God through the power of the Holy Spirit. In this way, members are trained and encouraged to use all their spiritual gifts, talents and skills to the glory of God with each member being a vital part of the Body of Christ. It is the goal of the Church that members will have assemblies (branches) closer to them to ensure regular participation in church activities and enhance a kind of fellowship where everyone is known, loved and well cared for. In view of this, the Church is organized at different levels namely: International, National, Regional (Area), District and Local levels.

In the U.S.A., Gaithersburg PIWC Assembly is in the Gaithersburg District of the Washington Region. The Gaithersburg District has a total of four (4) assemblies namely:

- Gaithersburg PIWC Assembly
- Gaithersburg Central Assembly
- Frederick Assembly
- Clarksburg Assembly

Joint services are occasionally organized between assemblies.

Currently, The Church of Pentecost International is active in 105 countries across the continents with 3,474,241 members and 22,842 Assemblies or Local Branches worldwide (COP Worldwide Growth Statistics 2019).

In the U.S.A., the church membership is over 31,893 with 254 local assemblies across the States (COP USA National Report 2019).
